Dear All,
With a heavy heart, this is to inform that Noel da Lima Leitao ( SC
74) sudden untimely demise has come as a shock to all of us.
Today
onwards we will find that we have a friend missing for the rest of our lives,
a senior we grew up with, a personality we looked up to and a gentleman who
was always there to help.
Noel Da Lima Leitao went on to become a
stalwart in the world of Indian Football as a visionary who always dreamt
about a brighter future for the game, an expert commentator at the highest
level with ESPN Star and an administrator- for his beloved Vasco Sports Club,
whom I am now
associated with. Noel has seen this club grow and has given
selflessly to the Club and football. One of the main sponsors of the Club,
he donated generously on a monthly basis, year after year.
A highly
respected individual in all circles, be it social and professional, Noel will
always be admired, loved and held in the highest of esteems to all those who
have known him and have heard of him.
SEM has lost one of its
brightest alumni and will be truly missed by all of us.
The sad part of
life is not that it has to end, but only that you don't know when. May his
soul rest in peace and his family find the strength and courage they will
need for the times ahead.
